This policy explains what ExtremePlanner Software, the operator of Mix Companion, collects, why we use it, how we protect it, and the choices available to you.

Plain-language summary: We use your information to provide Mix Companion. We do not sell your personal information or uploaded audio. Your audio remains private and is not used to train artificial intelligence models.

1. Information We Collect

ExtremePlanner Software operates Mix Companion and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

Account information

When you join the wait list, create an account, or use an account, we collect information such as your email address, display name, sign-in method, plan type, and account settings. If you sign in through a third-party identity provider, such as Google, we receive the account information needed to authenticate you.

Uploaded content and analysis data

We collect the audio files, track names, mix revision names, section maps, and other content you upload. We also store the listening guides, comparison reports, measurements, and related metadata generated through the service.

Usage and technical information

We may collect upload counts, file sizes, feature usage, timestamps, IP addresses, browser or device information, error logs, and security events. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

Billing information

When paid subscriptions are available, our payment provider, Paddle, will process payments and related billing information. Mix Companion may receive subscription status, customer identifiers, transaction details, and limited billing information, but does not store full payment-card details.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide, maintain, and secure Mix Companion.
• Process uploaded audio and generate listening guides and comparison reports.
• Authenticate users and manage accounts, plans, limits, and subscriptions.
• Manage the wait list and send occasional Mix Companion updates.
• Respond to support requests and communicate important service updates.
• Diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and improve reliability and usability.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not use your uploaded audio to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate the service, comply with law, or protect ExtremePlanner Software, Mix Companion, and their users. Service providers may include:

• Cloud hosting and database providers
• Private object storage providers
• Form submission, authentication, email-delivery, logging, and security providers
• Subscription billing and payment processing vendors

These providers process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms. We may also disclose information when required by law, to investigate abuse or security issues, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

4. Audio Storage and Security

Uploaded audio is stored in private object storage and is made available through limited-access links when needed for playback or processing. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account and sign-in links secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Retention and Deletion

We retain account information and uploaded content while your account remains active and as needed to provide the service. Deleting a track permanently removes its associated mixes, reports, section maps, and stored audio. Deleting your account permanently removes your account data and uploaded content.

Some deletion work may remain briefly queued while storage cleanup completes. We may retain limited information when required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. Paddle may separately retain transaction records under its legal obligations and privacy policy.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You may access and manage your content through your account. You may delete individual tracks or permanently delete your account from Account Settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection concerning your personal information.

To make a privacy request, use the contact method published on the Mix Companion website. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

7. Cookies and Sessions

Mix Companion uses essential cookies and similar technologies to maintain secure sign-in sessions, protect requests, and remember necessary service state. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.

8. Children

Mix Companion is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by applicable law. Do not use the service if you are not legally permitted to provide your information.

9. International Processing

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Mix Companion evolves. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required by law.
